Tivat - Workshop as a part of project: "With legal support towards better exercise of the rights of children and youth with disabilities"

In the hotel "Palma" in Tivat on 17 December 2014 a workshop was held, as a part of the project "With legal support to better realization of the rights of children and youth with disabilities", which was organized by Union of Associations of Parents of Children and Youth with Disabilities "Our Initiative" Podgorica.

NGO Union "Our Initiative" implements workshops in 10 cities of Montenegro within mentioned project, funded by the European Union through the Center for Civic Education from Podgorica and Civic Initiative from Belgrade.

On workshops, beside parents, representatives of the local self-government, the Centre for Social Welfare and Health Fund participated as well.

"Familiarization with the Law and regulations creates the preconditions for a group of parents to realize certain rights for their children in the coming period and contribute to the improvement of the status of this population in the society", as it was stated from the Union "Our Initiative", whose member-association is NGO "European House, Tivat" - one of the 20 local associations of parents of children with disabilities from the composition of the Union.

Union of Associations of Parents of Children and Youth with Disabilities "Our Initiative" is an umbrella, network, socio-humanitarian, non-partisan, non-governmental organization which gathers municipal associations of parents of children with disabilities throughout Montenegro.
